The
Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo Charitable
Foundation was established in 1995 to assist K-W Zonta to
fulfill its mandate to improve the legal, economic and political status of
women in our community.
A charitable gift is the way you can make a difference now, and in the lives
of those who follow. Make a difference in the lives of women in our
community.
By
making a donation to the Zonta Club of
Kitchener-Waterloo Charitable Foundation we will be able to
direct your charitable dollars to local women’s organizations having the
greatest needs. A major focus of the Foundation is the
Bev Thring Bursary, with its first award
presented in 2008.
A tax

The Bev Thring Bursary
The Bev Thring Bursary has been established in memory of Bev Thring, a long time member of the Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo. This award will assist women studying to enter a career in a non-traditional trade. The annual $500 award will be awarded to a student at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
The Foundation directors and members of the Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo feel that this award fits well with the Zonta International goal to improve the status of women. It is also the Foundation’s hope that we will be able to continue the Bev Thring award beyond the initial 5 year commitment. In addition, should we receive sufficient donations, we plan to set up other awards to help women with their studies.
