Service Grants
The Zonta Club of
Kitchener Waterloo carries out fund-raising activities throughout the year, with
the goal of distributing the proceeds to local and international programs that
focus on the advancement of the status of women.
Local not-for-profit or charitable organizations may apply for Service Grants,
with the applications due at the end of March. Recent recipients of Service
Grants include:
● Anselma House
● Catholic Family Counselling Services
● Community Justice Initiatives
● Eating Disorders Awareness Coalition of Waterloo Region
● Focus for Ethnic Women
● The Literacy Group of Waterloo Region
● Shalom Counselling Services
● The Working Centre
Organizations eligible for grants are ones which:
1. provide services that benefit women in the Kitchener-Waterloo community,
2. make services available without discrimination as described by the Ontario
Human Rights Code
3. issue an annual report which includes financial statements
To apply for a Service Grant, organizations are asked to complete a grant
application and submit it by Friday March 28, 2008. For further
