Young Women in Public Affairs Award

The goal of the Zonta's Annual Young Women in Public Affairs Award Program is to recognize pre-university or pre-college women students' commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and dedication to the advancement of the status of women and thus to encourage women to enter careers in public affairs, public policy, and community organizations. The competition begins at a local level with our local Zonta Club awarding $500 to their selected candidate who then goes on to compete at a broader District level for $1,000 US and the opportunity to compete for one of four Zonta International awards of $1,000 US. Young women interested in this award program should contact their high school guidance department for applications.
