About Zonta

Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.  Nearly 33,000 members belong to more than 1,240 Zonta Clubs in 68 countries and geographic areas.

OUR MISSION
We seek to:
 ●  improve the legal, political, economic, health, educational and professional status of women through service and advocacy;
 ●  work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of executives in business and the professions;
 ●  promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms;
 ●  be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, implement service programs, and provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world.

Zonta International envisions a world in which human rights and fundamental freedoms are ensured for all women and the legal, political, economic, educational, health, and professional rights of women are not restricted because of gender.

Locally, the Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo works to improve the quality of life for women through fundraising and charitable giving and by recognizing outstanding community members through such initiatives as Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship, the Annual Women of Achievement and Young Women in Public Affairs Awards, and The Betty Thompson Golf Classic. Charitable and not-for-profit organizations may apply for Service Grants by accessing the application under "Service Grants".
